The project at Merriweather Post Pavilion includes additions and renovations to the main stage area of this performance venue as well as the addition of a support building for the use of operations and artists before, during and after events. The associated site development also includes a multitude of walkways, landscaped areas, retaining walls, concession stands and public restrooms. Structures combined total 90,000 SF. Adjacent Symphony Woods features the new Butterfly Building (guest services), an X-shaped, glass-and-mirror 6,000 SF structure that houses food concessions, an art gallery and 5,700 SF of deck area. Nearby is the Caterpillar--a landscape amenity that is an interactive 800-foot, 10-foot diameter, plant-covered tube--and other playground equipment. Services provided from 2014 - 2015.
