Role: Cost estimating (design), phasing plan/scheduling, preparation of bid documents, bid analysis and recommendation, payment application reviews, and change orders during construction
The Embassy of Kenya is in a historically protected zone where the building facades are to be preserved. The interior of the building will be remodeled to replace all existing electrical and mechanical installations and to create modern office spaces. The project will be completed in six phases with the first five phases focusing on the renovation and remodeling of the main building including security enhancements, window replacement, re-roofing, and the creation of a modern reception space. Phase six will focus mainly on the renovations to the Ambassador’s Residence in Potomac, MD and redevelopment of the staff residential houses, all of which are in Washington, DC.
