Budgeting & Benchmarking

There is perhaps no stage more important to achieving a project’s objectives than the first attempts to establish a budget, based on the proposed scope and quality/performance characteristics desired. Getting the alignment of budget, scope and quality right at the beginning is critical to a successful project, as is the maintenance of that alignment as the design progresses.

When the only information available is perhaps a program of space requirements, a proposed site and a general description of the building’s functions, we rely on our extensive database of projects and project experience to craft a budget that will deliver the owner’s expectations, while allowing the design team the room they need to maneuver and create a facility that performs and which the team can be proud of.
