This project comprised the construction of a new Lorton Volunteer Fire Station, which will be completed in two phases. The scope includes the demolition of the existing 16,000 SF fire station and construction of a temporary facility on-site; followed by the new 21,000 SF station (including four apparatus bays), living accommodations, associated site improvements to the existing 3.3 acre site, removal of the temporary facility, and site restoration. Hanscomb led the VE session and compiled the VE report, which generated over $1.2 Million in potential savings.
